About Me — Your Financial Advocate
For over 31 years, I've helped people find clarity and confidence in their financial lives, and it remains a privilege to guide clients through their unique journeys. At Flagship Financial Advisors, an independent firm built around serving clients first, my focus is on you—your goals, your challenges, and your aspirations. As a fiduciary, I'm committed to putting your interests ahead of everything else, offering objective advice free from commissions or corporate agendas. That independence lets us craft tailored financial plans that genuinely reflect what matters to you, whether you're preparing for retirement, managing investments, or planning for your family's future.
I grew up in St. Louis and earned my B.S. in Finance & Economics from Southwest Baptist University. My career began at Dean Witter/Morgan Stanley in New York and St. Louis, and later at UBS Paine Webber. Frustrated by their sales-driven models, I set out to build something better—a firm where clients truly come first. That's how Flagship came to be, here in Franklin, where my wife, Kim, and I have been happily married for over 30 years and raised our twins, Grant and Ellie.
Grant and his wife, Sophie, live in Nashville, where Grant works in supply chain for Starbucks. Ellie is in Birmingham with the SEC Network. Alongside my colleague Jeff, with whom I've worked for over 22 years, we bring more than 60 years of combined experience to the table. From retirement and investment planning to estate and education funding, we're here to simplify the complex and lay out a clear path forward—always without the conflicts of interest that come with commission-driven models.
Outside the office, I'm an avid golfer and a private pilot—two pursuits that keep me sharp and give me perspective. When fall rolls around, you'll find me cheering on Ole Miss and Auburn every Saturday. The same approach carries into my work: understand what actually matters to you, then build a plan around it. If you're looking for an advisor who'll put your interests first, I'd welcome the conversation.
